What we collect

Usage data. Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are read and which links are clicked. That involves cookies and identifiers set by Google, approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. IP addresses are anonymised.

Advertising and referral identifiers. If you arrive from a Google ad, the URL carries a click identifier (GCLID) and campaign parameters. We keep those, plus a random identifier we generate, in your browser's session storage and in our records, so we can tell which advertising led to a vendor referral. When you click a labelled affiliate link, the random identifier is passed to the vendor's affiliate network so the referral is attributed to us. Vendors don't send us your name, email or payment details; we receive an anonymised record that a referral happened and the commission amount.

Email. If you write to us, we keep the thread as long as it takes to deal with it.

No newsletters, no accounts, no forms collecting personal information, and we don't sell personal information.

Who processes it

Google (analytics and ad measurement), Cloudflare (hosting, DNS and the endpoint that records referral identifiers), and the affiliate networks of the vendors we link to (the vendors' own programs and networks such as PartnerStack, Impact, FirstPromoter and Rewardful). These providers process data in the United States and other countries outside Australia.

Retention

Analytics data: Google Analytics' standard 14 months. Referral identifiers: up to 24 months, the longest attribution window among the programs we take part in. Email: deleted once resolved unless it relates to a correction on the site.

Your choices

Block or clear cookies and session storage in your browser; the site works without them. Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Ask what we hold about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, at hello@auditedstack.com; we respond within 30 days. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles even where the Privacy Act's small-business exemption may apply.
